Coming up: 19 October “The United Nations as an Agent of Progress in International Law”

Mr. Fortier will present a paper on the topic of the United Nations as an agent of progress in the international legal field. The discussion will be based on a paper delivered by Mr. Fortier at United Nations headquarters on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the New York Convention.   • the mandate of the United Nations,
  • the role of the United Nations in the development of international law,
  • the United Nations and treaty-making; and
  • the contribution of the ICJ to the development of international law.
